May 15th & 16th Saw the staging of the Annual ALBUM Conference held in a very Sunny Glasgow.
ALBUM (The Association of Local Bus Company Managers) Has existed for over 30 years and was formed in October 1984 when deregulation of the bus industry was under political consideration. ALBUM exists to provide a forum to exchange best practice among its members and to influence policy, for the promotion of high quality services that encourage more people to travel by bus.
There are approaching 160 members representing the remaining municipal and independent bus operators in the UK and ALBUM provides a networking opportunity for bus managers, to share best practice and to respond to government consultations affecting the industry. There are separate marketing, engineering, finance and traffic groups which meet regularly.
Every May, the ALBUM Conference provides an excellent opportunity for members and suppliers to come together and talk about the big issues surrounding the transport industry and with FCL having supported ALBUM for many years, It is the perfect opportunity for us to keep in touch with association members concerning industry issues and development, New application details and also new product releases. Communication with our customers is essential for positive and trustworthy working relationships, and ALBUM provides the opportunity for that to happen.
Speaking during the event, Mike Curran (National Account Manager) Commented: “This has been a great couple of days in Glasgow for ALBUM.
