Managing director Deryck Norville is entering the 2011 Great North Run in September, running with his daugher Gemma and son Scott. Deryck and Scott ran in last year’s event and completed the 13 mile course in a little over 2 hours and in doing so raised a considerable amount of money for Asthma UK . Deryck’s wife has suffered with this dreadful disease for many years. To complete the course Deryck trained daily at his local gym for 12 months and lost 55lbs in the process.

The charity chosen this year is Great Ormond Street Hospital for children and any donations would be greatly appreciated. To donate please follow this link: http://justgiving.com/scottgemmaderyck and donate as much as you can. Thank you.

Gemma who works in FCL’s procurement department has also trained extremely hard and completed her first 10mile run last Friday on her birthday. Scott,  the team leader is also in heavy training and recently acheived his second Dan in taekwondo.

Their aim this year is to beat last year’s time and to raise even more money for their chosen charity Great Ormond Street Hospital.

If training goes well, the team are hoping to take part in the London Marathon.
